Impact Manager

Summary:

This role supports a B-Corp-certified New York City solar development company. As CSR/Impact manager, you will be part of the Legal & Impact team. This position will be instrumental in structuring, developing, and implementing strategies related to environmental, social, and human impacts in the areas they operate.

Hybrid Schedule: 9 days/month in office

Responsibilities Include:

• Strengthen our local footprint through sponsorship, donations, volunteering events, and giving back to the community.

• Work with the Quality & Risk team and the Business departments to develop environmental strategy goals, and KPIs, including through the ISO 14001 certifications

• Create new or manage ongoing relationships with social impact organizations. Mobilize the team around volunteering events.

• In collaboration with the Business departments, connect and engage with key stakeholders, or inhabitants in specific areas where our solar installations are located. Advocate for the company's mission and reputation and educate on the benefits of community solar.

• Day-to-day management of your direct reports.

Experience and Qualifications:

• 8 years of relevant ESG / CSR experience within the energy experience. Solar or renewable energy is preferred

• Has experience in a people-facing role 

• Excellent written communication skills

• A degree in sustainability, business, marketing, or environmental studies
