Project Development Specialist

Company Overview

We’ve partnered with a utility-scale wind developer looking to bring on a project developer to their team. The role is remote, but the candidate should be able to easily travel around the Mid-West and Central US up to 50%. This candidate will be in charge of overseeing development tasks throughout the entire development process, from site identification to NTP.

Responsibilities:

• Lead diligence activities including vetting projects for environmental, financial, interconnection, permitting, and technical constraints.
• Negotiate with vendors to complete various, development-related scopes of work.
• Negotiate permits, tax, and other project-related agreements.
• Communicate effectively with vendors, project partners, and other stakeholders.
• Prioritize work to meet project deadlines, budgets, and goals.
• Professionally represent the organization to various parties including landowners, vendors, local officials, and other stakeholders.
• Reporting to management as required.
• Ability to travel to various project sites in the US up to 50%
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Energy, Land Management, or related field
• Experience developing 100MW + wind farms is required
• Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced, team environment
