Commercial Solar Business Development Manager

Location: Remote - role will cover East and South East of England

Consult Energy are working with a Renewable Energy Company who specialise in commercial solar solutions. Their mission is to help businesses reduce their carbon footprint and energy costs while contributing to a sustainable future. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join the team and drive growth in the commercial solar sector.

Role Overview: As the Commercial Solar Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the market presence and building strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing the sales pipeline, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional solar solutions to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the commercial sector.
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, industry partners, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitors, and potential leads.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in solar energy.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company and generate leads.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in the renewable energy sector (solar experience is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of the commercial solar market and related technologies is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in business, engineering, or a related field is desirable.
