About the Role:
Consult Energy is looking for a dynamic and strategic Head of Finance to work for an international £400million turnover organisation. This key role is responsible for consolidating and strengthening their Accounting, Controlling, and Treasury processes, while fostering a culture of change and agility. The successful candidate will manage a team of 4 direct and 7 indirect reports, ensuring robust financial control and effective cross-departmental communication.

Head of Finance - Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Accounting & Reporting: Oversee statutory accounting, ensure compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP, manage audits, monthly/quarterly/year-end processes, VAT and Duty compliance, credit risk management, and lead accounting practice improvements.
• Management Information: Produce and present monthly reports, budgets, and long-term plans, ensuring accuracy and relevance. Oversee inventory valuation, FX exposure management, and alignment of management information with financial accounts.
• Departmental Control: Implement and monitor controls, ensure segregation of duties, and adopt Group reporting requirements.

Head of Finance - Qualifications and Experience:

• Management experience in a large scale organisation.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to manage confidential information.
• Professional accounting qualification and significant experience with UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong SAP knowledge.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive performance improvements.

This is an autonomous role which will have significant impact on wider group decision making, as well as an opportunity to develop the current finance team and pursue person career goals.

Salary: £85,000 - £95,000 (depending on experience and industry understanding)
+ competitive package
